The ability to read passport data immediately and integrate the Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) data with our systems provided a significant improvement in our customer service. Many of our customers use Article 20 Civil IDs, which are not equipped with a smartcard chip. These devices can read Article 20 cards, making it easier for our customer service representatives to update their data.
