BI Design & Implementation Services

Capitalize on your IT Investments and make sense out of your data using our Design and Implementation Services

BI Services

Under the current economic circumstances, an increasing number of CIOs are looking for ways to help their organizations identify weak areas of their business and provide competitive advantage. The demand for Business Intelligence solutions has been increasing exponentially.

Sharper Services provides a low-risk, high-value solution to your Business Intelligence needs.

We tried to implement a Business Intelligence Platform with our own and with the help of several vendors, but failed miserably. With the help of Sharper Software, we took a different approach to the design and building of Business Intelligence solutions.

Our Approach to Successful Business Intelligence

BI Approach

Step 1 - Identify Key business processes, actors and milestones

By interviewing your key business decision makers, we identify the major business processes that your organization runs. We also interview the people in charge of these processes (known as actors). Key milestones in each of these processes are also agreed with the key business decision makers.

Step 2 - Identifying the supporting data sources

At this stage we are not sure whether the systems involved in running your business are providing adequate and accurate data about your business processes or not. We shall analyze these systems to determine how well are the business processes represented by the available data.

Step 3 - Data Cleansing and Shaping

It is imperative that data fed into your Business Intelligence solution should be as accurate as possible. Hence, we shall work with both IT and business to identify data that is inaccurate or incomplete. We also help the business clean some of the data if necessary and format the data in a way that fits business users.

Step 4 - Building a data warehouse

This is the cornerstone of the whole BI Platform. We shall build an Enterprise Data Warehouse by collecting data from various data sources, formatting it into a business-friendly shape and importing it into a data warehouse using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) methods agreed upon during the previous phase to build this logic and automate the process. Here is where your organization begins to reap the benefits of the project.

Step 5 - Reporting and Analytics

We shall develop extensive reports that your management will appreciate, providing valuable insight. Most of these reports may be predefined. We also provide a self-service BI Platform for users to develop their own ad-hoc reports. Certain reports would automatically be delivered to the concerned personnel in a timely manner. Furthermore, these reports can be exported in many formats and shared with teams across the organization.

Step 6 - Corporate Performance Management

The numbers that were generated in the reports may seem just numbers to a lot of employees and hence, it would not make true sense to everyone in the organization. We work with key business decision makers to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that turn these numbers into more meaningful information. This way we show your management dashboards that indicate the overall health of your organization.
